Valangaiman ITI
The Sirumalar ITI was oringinally run by “Sri Venkateswara Trust”. It is situated 13kms away from kumbakonam and was started on 01.07.1998. When the ITI was started it had the following trades Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV), Air Condition Mechanic (MRAC) & Diesel Mechanic. It was started by the Venkateswara ITI with the minimum tools required and those who were profited by the education were given the National Certificate (NCVT- National Council for Vocational Training) which can offer them job opportunities all over the world.
The Carmelite fathers of the Carmel mission at valangaiman who were already working for the upliftment of the poor dalit people in various ways as mentioned earlier, felt that technical education was a must in the upliftment of these poor people and wished to give the same. With the great help of some people, Carmelite fathers bought the Venkateswara ITI and legally named it as Sirumalar ITI.

Carmel industrial training center is started by Fr. Albert OCD in the year 1998 in informal way without any government approval. It has got government approval in the year 2004 with three courses. They are:
- Tailoring
- ACP
- DTP
- Basic Computer
The course is offered here gave an impact in the realm of Economic of the poor family. there are 295 rural people benefited and 270 people benefits now.

In our industrial training centre we are giving various formal and non formal job oriented courses. The following courses are offered to the boys

Carmel ITI: Narasinganur
Carmel industrial training Centre is situated in Narasinganur, adjacent to Kanjanur comes in the district of Villupuram. the main motive of this institution is to make employment for the rural people. it is started in the year 2004 with the approval given by the government.
Courses offered in the institution are
- Cutting and Tailoring
- Embroidery and Needle Work
- Electrical Technician
- Electronics
- Driving Mechanic
- Welding Technician
- D.T.P.{Job-oriented course}
Besides these, some free courses are offered for the good of the people. They are basic computer Education, Driving, Mason work, Moral Education, Spoken English, youth Education, General knowledge and seminars are provided.
Thanneerpandal Carmel industrial training Centre is situated in Thannerpandal, adjacent to Thenimalai. It comes in the district of T.V. Malai. the main motive of this institution is making employment for the people. it is started by Fr. Ignaci Muthu OCD in the year 2012. Twenty five students are there. Courses offered by the institution are: Tailoring and Computer Education.
