Boys Home

‘Towards the total involvement’ is the motto of Tamil Carmel. Besides our spiritual ministry we dedicate our time to uplift the down trodden. In and around our mission stations we collect the poor boys to give them boarding & lodging and to have their schooling which is a mirage from their houses. We have got three boys home respectively in Manalikarai, Duraisamiyapuram and Kurukkuchalai. Almost 150 students benefit from our boys home every year.

Manalikkarai Youth Centre

We have a Carmel youth Centre in Manalikkarai. It helps to empower the skills of the youth. Various programs, social activities are organized and arranged for the good of the youth. It was started by Fr. Jerome paraippalli on 1st June 1966. Around twenty five youths were there in the beginning when it is started and it went on till one hundred. There are fifty youths are there now at present and Fr. Sagayadass OCD is priest in-charge.
